The Analysis Details Screen,
which is accessed by clicking the Details button on the Analysis
Results Screen, provides information regarding the Service History data and the analysis results for an Instrument Class, Subclass or Manufacturer/Model.
This information can often lead the experienced user to informed conclusions regarding the behavior and management of items analyzed.
The features and functions of the Details Screen is described below.
Summary Information
The Summary Information identifies an item (Class, Subclass or Manufacturer/Model) under consideration. Different items may be viewed by stepping forward or backward using the scrollbar on the screen.
Notable among the fields shown under Summary Information is the Reliability Target.
If an interval has not yet been assigned to the item since the last analysis (i.e., the last time the Start Analysis Button was pressed on the Main Screen), the target may be changed here to observe the impact on the computed calibration intervals. What constitutes an assigned interval is discussed later under Approving Intervals.
Analysis
Results and Resubmission Times
The
Analysis Results tap displays key analysis information obtained using
the selected or "best fit", reliability model. The
Resubmission Times tab displays a histogram showing the distribution of resubmission times.
The histogram is useful in assessing compliance with recall schedules.
Reliability Model Plot Selections
This
section of the screen shows computed results for eight reliability models used by IntervalMAX to model the in-tolerance probability of equipment over time. Intervals for each reliability
model are displayed, along with the lower and upper confidence limits (LCL and
UCL) for each interval and the goodness of fit. These results
provide some understanding of how the selected reliability model compares with other models.
Plots of the theoretical fit of each IntervalMAX Reliability Model to the data analyzed can be viewed
by clicking the appropriate Reliability Model Plot button. Each plot
is identified by its color. The color of a plot is the same as its corresponding
Reliability Model label.
Reliability Plot
The Reliability Plot shows the Resubmission Time Series as points on the plot background.
The points represent the fraction of service actions with in-tolerance Condition Received records for a given
Resubmission Time "cell." The points used in the analysis are colored white. Those that have been deleted as outliers are colored red.
Also shown are the Reliability Target (horizontal line), Recommended Interval (vertical line) and
Reliability Function Plot(s). Changing the Reliability Target in the Summary Information section of the screen causes the horizontal and vertical lines to move.
Interval-Reliability Calculator
The Interval-Reliability Calculator is useful if it is desired to see the impact of a Reliability Target change on the Recommended Interval or vice versa. The calculator applies only to the Selected Reliability Model.
It functions whether or not an interval has been approved and/or assigned since analysis.
Reliability Target Changes
the Reliability Target for an item under consideration may be changed on the Analysis Details Screen. This is allowed only if an interval has not yet been assigned to the item since the last analysis.
Changes made on the Analysis Details Screen are written to the database to be used in computing intervals.
Viewing and Interpreting Statistics
The statistics relating to the analysis of an item under consideration can be viewed by clicking the Statistics
button, which activates the Model Fit Parameter Data
Screen.
