Run External Application Screen 
An external application, such as a spreadsheet, that contains process control data may be activated from SPCView by clicking Import/Export on the Process Control Data screen menu bar.  This activates the Run External Application Screen for running external applications. 

The desired application type is selected from the Select Application list.  The application or program executable you wish to run is then selected from the File list. The desired application is launched by double-clicking the selected file or clicking Run Application on the menu bar.
 
Once the desired external application is launched, you may operate within it as you normally would.  Data may be imported from the application into SPCView or exported from SPCView to the application through the use of the Windows Clipboard.
