With IntervalMAX, intervals are computed that are consistent with a desired percent in-tolerance or Reliability Target at the end of the calibration interval. All new Manufacturer/Models, Similar Equipment Groups and Instrument Classes are assigned a Default Reliability Target via the Reliability Targets Screen, which is activated by selecting the Reliability Target option from the Controls menu on the Main Screen.

 
Since Reliability Targets may be assigned by individual Instrument Class, Group, Manufacturer/Model Number or Serial Number, the option to change existing targets to a new default may be applied either to all items or only to those items currently assigned the default target.  If the Default Reliability Target is changed, the Reliability Targets for existing Instrument Classes, Groups, Manufacturer/Models or Serial Numbers may also be changed.
