Approved intervals from IntervalMAX can be exported to
an external database through the use of the External Serial Number Interval Assignment Setup
Screen, which is accessed by clicking the Setup
button on the External Serial Number Interval Assignment Screen. Brief
descriptions of the features and functions for the Setup Screen tabs are given
below.
Profile Data
The Database Type refers to the data base
application to which the data are to be exported. The types of
external file formats supported by IntervalMAX are selected from a dropdown
list and include:
Microsoft
Access 2000 and earlier
dBase III and IV
ODBC

The External
Data File is the full directory path and file name for the data file to which data will be
exported. The location may be typed or selected by browsing the workstation or network on which the
external data file resides. The external file name is also entered
in the Write To field.
The Connect String is a key that participates in unlocking access to the database or file containing the data to be imported.
Field
Definitions
This
portion of the screen is used to assign the IntervalMAX database fields that you wish to
export into the corresponding external database fields. The basic steps
are as follows:

Select the units (days, weeks or months) for the field in which the current interval is written in the
IntervalMAX database.

Click the Try Connect button. If the correct
Connection Data have been entered, a list of the fields found in the
external database will appear in the Available Names list.

Drag each relevant field name from the Available Names list and drop it in the corresponding row of the External Field Names column.

Click
the OK button to complete the Interval Assignment Setup.
