The Serial Number Dogs/Gems Report is accessed by selecting Serial Number Dogs/Gems from the Reports menu on the Main Screen.  This report shows information for serial number items identified during Model Level analysis as having inordinately high or low out-of-tolerance rates, respectively.  Report features and functions are briefly described below. 

Report Options

The Scope option allows you to view all serial numbers, those for currently selected manufacturer/models, or those within a specified range.  The Approval option allows you view all intervals, approved intervals only, or unapproved intervals only.  The Outliers option allows you to view both Dogs and Gems, Dogs only, or Gems only.
 

Report Fields
Identifying information for each Serial Number Dog or Gem is shown in the leftmost four columns of the report. This information includes Manufacturer, Model Number, Serial Number and Control Number.  The Dog/Gem Flag column contains a letter designator that labels either a Serial Number Dog (D) or Gem (G).  The Dog/Gem Probability column contains the confidence level for the identification of a Serial Number Dog or Gem. This confidence level will equal or exceed the Outlier Test Confidence Level established on the Outliers section of the Analysis Parameters Screen.
 
The Approved Interval column contains the current approved interval for the Serial Number Dog or Gem. This will be some multiple of the Manufacturer/Model interval.  The Interval Approval Date column contains the date that the approval was made for the current approved interval.
